Next Game.... MGS4: GOTP

My next game to start playing is Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the patriots.

Please be warned, I played no previous versions of any of the Metal Gear franchise. This will be great to see how they do with hitting the mainstream and having someone out of the loop catch up to a rich and very charismatic history. To be continued....

[Game Review] Battlefield: Bad Company

Release Date: June 25, 2008
System Played on: PS3

With my current crazy schedule, I was able to beat Bad Company within about a weeks time. The up and down of the story/levels I found not as predictable as most other games, which is a plus. One thing I really did like was the intelligence built into the game to remember characters/enemies. They wouldn't always be in the same exact spot, and if they did, and for some reason you died, but took one of those suckers with you, they weren't respawned either. I think this is a hidden gem within the game. It's not as if you're beating something over the head a million times trying to get past one a-hole who just needs to hit you once because you have no ammo or low health by the time you reach him/there.

I was not a fan of Army of 2, which made me somewhat sketchy to purchase Battlefield:BC. I seen a few trailers for this game as well as DICE's trailer(s) for "mirror's edge". This gave me faith in the developers as well as what helped push me over to purchase Battlefield:BC. The destructive enviornments and game physics are very nice. The solo game is far beyond better than the multiplayer. Multiplayer seems very stripped down and what you see is what you get. I aim to play more multiplayer to see what happens as you move up in rank, but I have not been really moved by the multiplayer functionalities in Battlefield:BC.

One recommendation I would give for this game is to beef up the options. The game options are very limited, giving you about 3 different options to change the buttons and one option for vehicle controls. The vehicle control options, I understand that would just be chaos to have offered, and could be messed up if within the wrong hands. That is purely understandable, however, I do feel that having no option to totally customize your buttons is ridiculous, especially for everything these systems have to offer (blu-ray, storage space, better technology, etc.)

All-in-all, I really enjoyed this game and I can't wait for future efforts from DICE.

Hola

I decided to start an official game/gamer blog. Here we go!
